Anthony Jerome Webb entered the world on July 13, 1963, in Dallas, Texas, USA. His journey in basketball began early, marked by determination despite his diminutive stature compared to peers. Born into a modest family alongside four siblings, Webb's passion for the game propelled him forward.

Webb's initial foray into professional basketball saw limited opportunities due to his height. Transitioning to college basketball, Webb quickly made an impact, guiding the Wolfpack to the NCAA Tournament's Sweet 16 in just his freshman year.

Though drafted late in the 1985 NBA Draft, Webb's professional career took flight with the Detroit Pistons before moving to the Atlanta Hawks, where he spent six impactful seasons. His career highlights include capturing the NBA Slam Dunk Championship in 1986, a feat that underscored his ability to excel beyond conventional expectations for players of his height. Webb's journey continued with stints at the Sacramento Kings, Atlanta Hawks, Minnesota Timberwolves, and a brief return to the Orlando Magic, culminating in a 12-year NBA career characterized by resilience and adaptability.

Post-retirement, Webb embraced a new role as President of Basketball Operations for the Texas Legends, a D-League affiliate of the Dallas Mavericks.
